MongoDB DBA

We are looking for a MongoDB DBA who wants to learn and transform his career.

Requirements:

• In‑depth knowledge of MongoDB architecture (Replica Sets, Sharding, oplog, WiredTiger storage engine)
• Experience with backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies
• Strong skills in MongoDB performance tuning and query optimization
• Experience managing large, mission‑critical production MongoDB environments
• Good understanding of NoSQL data modeling and schema design
• Proficiency in MongoDB administration tools and utilities
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems
• Experience with security best practices and access control
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

.Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and administer MongoDB databases across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments
• Manage day‑to‑day MongoDB operations ensuring high availability and performance
• Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB replication (Replica Sets) and sharding setups
• Monitor database health, performance, and capacity using MongoDB tools and monitoring solutions
• Perform backup and recovery using mongodump/mongorestore, snapshots, and automated backup tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to replication lag, oplog size, slow queries, locking, and node failures
• Perform performance tuning, including index optimization, query tuning, schema design review, and configuration tuning
• Manage database security, including users, roles, authentication, authorization, and encryption (TLS, at-rest encryption)
• Perform MongoDB upgrades, patching, and migrations with minimal downtime
• Support High Availability and Disaster Recovery strategies and conduct DR drills
• Handle database scaling activities (horizontal and vertical scaling)
• Work closely with application and DevOps teams during deployments and incidents
• Perform root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive measures
• Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell / Python)
• Maintain DBA documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks
• Participate in 24x7 on‑call and production support rotations
