Application Developer & Solution Architect

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Data platform.

Desired Competencies (Technical / Behavioral Competencies)

Must-Have Skills (3–5)

Google Cloud Data Platform Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience with Google BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow (Apache Beam), and Looker/LookML.
• Experience designing and maintaining scalable data platforms and pipelines on GCP.

Data Engineering & Development

• Proficiency in SQL and Python or Java.
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and streaming data processing.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schemas).

GCP Ecosystem Knowledge

• Experience with Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer (Airflow), and IAM.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architecture, orchestration, and security best practices.

Data Governance & Quality

• Experience implementing data governance frameworks, data quality controls, metadata management, lineage, and data security/compliance standards.

Behavioral Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Experience Level

• 3–8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or GCP Data Engineering roles.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification.
• Experience with Dataplex, Data Catalog, or similar governance tools.
• Knowledge of Terraform, Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD practices.
• Exposure to Vertex AI and machine learning pipelines on GCP.
